Health & Wellness
CIHS promotes the integration of wellness and health knowledge as a vital component of recovery and overall health. Wellness is the balance of an individual’s healthy habits related to physical, spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional/mental, occupational, environmental, and financial health. CIHS supports education to behavioral health service providers (both peers and professionals) on techniques and strategies that help individuals connect with primary care and health promotion activities, and prepares providers and practices to incorporate wellness, including illness self-management and peer support.
