Overview
Welcome to the MAI CoC Grantee Online Community!
The SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions (CIHS) provides MAI-CoC grantees with technical assistance, information, training and support. Whether you are just beginning or expanding your integration efforts, we look forward to working with you to help you reach your project goals.
CIHS has a strong track record of promoting the development of integrated primary and behavioral health care services to better address the needs of individuals with complex health conditions seen in a variety of settings. Some of you may already be familiar with CIHS, through our concurrent and prior work serving SAMHSA grantees for the past four years, including the Primary Behavioral Health Care Integration (PBHCI) program.
To ensure the provision of high quality and responsive technical assistance to your organization, CIHS works with other experienced partners, including the MayaTech Corporation. CIHS is focused on building your organization’s capacity to provide effective, efficient, and sustainable HIV and behavioral health care and prevention services.
CIHS uses “people first” language, emphasizing that people should not be defined by their challenges and diagnoses. For more information about and examples of people first language, please visit Guidance on Transformative Language from the SAMHSA Resource Center to Promote Acceptance, Dignity, and Social Inclusion Associated with Mental Health.
