Description
This Webinar will provide participants with an overview of A Practitioner’s Guide for Advancing Health Equity: Community Strategies for Preventing Chronic Disease (Practitioner’s Health Equity Guide) and will highlight community examples of health equity integration in tobacco-free living and healthy eating strategies. Participants will also learn how implementing strategies for both general and vulnerable population groups benefits health outcomes for all. These presentations are designed to ignite ideas on how to effectively advance and sustain health equity efforts and improve health outcomes.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this Webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify at least one foundational skill of public health strategy and at least two priority strategies discussed in the Practitioner’s Health Equity Guide.
  • Describe the concept of tailoring the Practitioner’s Health Equity Guide strategies to the health needs of both general and vulnerable population groups.
  • Apply approaches for improving sustainability of local health equity focused activities.
