This is the first webinar in the Meaningful Consumer Engagement Webinar Series. During this webinar, William Dean, Manager, Delivery Systems and Consumer Engagement, Community Catalyst, John Ruiz, Consumer Liaison, Commonwealth Care Alliance and Ken Pariseau, Manager, External Affairs at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island will present an overview of Consumer Engagement and strategies for developing and implementing successful Consumer Advisory Committees. They will address the benefits and return on investment of advisory committees, different committee structures, ways to recruit and incentivize participation, training and support tools, and other practical information to assist organizations, advocates and other stakeholders in implementing and enhancing consumer engagement. Speakers will present real world case studies that reflect perspectives relevant to anticipated webinar participants and stakeholders.

The Consumer Engagement Webinar Series are supported through the Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office (MMCO) in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). MMCO is dedicated to ensuring beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid have access to seamless, high-quality health care that includes the full range of covered services in both programs. To support providers in their efforts to deliver more integrated, coordinated care to Medicare-Medicaid enrollees, MMCO is developing technical assistance and actionable tools based on successful innovations and care models.
