Start Date: March 03, 2015
End Date: March 03, 2015

It’s hard to believe that 36% of people with mental illnesses and 77-93% of people with addictions use tobacco. The good news is that adults with addiction disorders and mental illness want to quit and can be successful when they have access to evidence-based cessation treatments and support. Community behavioral health organizations are in a unique position to act as agents of change in addressing health disparities and offering tobacco cessation screening, treatment and tobacco-free environments. This webinar will provide tools and resources for community behavioral health organizations to implement tobacco-free campus policies while discussing the real benefits and challenges going tobacco-free has meant for both clients and providers. Don’t miss this opportunity to inform your organization’s tobacco-free endeavors and improve the health and wellness of clients and staff.
During this webinar, participants will:
- Discuss evidence-based strategies and best practices that work well in implementation and enforcement of tobacco-free policies
- Hear lessons learned from community behavioral health organizations that have implemented tobacco-free campus policies
- Understand the common implementation barriers and workarounds of implementing tobacco-free campus policies
