Webinar Series on Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Health: A Binational Public Health Collaboration

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) in partnership with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the Brazil Ministry of Health and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) will host two webinars in support of the U.S.-Brazil Joint Action Plan To Eliminate Racial and Ethnic Discrimination and Promote Equality (JAPER). The purpose of this webinar series is to raise awareness of the efforts in both the U.S. and Brazil to develop policies and interventions to reduce or eliminate racial and ethnic discrimination in health, and to encourage dialogue and collaborations. The series will feature didactic presentations and facilitated discussions by noted experts in the field.

Webinar One will focus on discrimination in health and measurement and accountability. Webinar Two will focus on community engagement and workforce development to promote a public health workforce.
