The behavioral health workforce is one of the fastest growing workforces in the country and functions in a wide range of prevention, health care, and social service settings. Numerous contextual conditions influence the behavioral health professionals in particular, notably legislative mandates for parity, disparities in the availability of and accessibility to practitioners in underserved communities, the emergence of person-centered care, and dramatic shifts from traditional to new roles and relationships in the workplace.
This webinar will highlight workforce development trends, challenges, and SAMHSA goals and strategies. Webinar participants will hear from two important spokespeople in the field and learn about current programs and initiatives that will help inform their professional practice and career development
